The things I actually wear and use for my runs — from clothing and shoes to the little extras that make getting out the door more comfortable.
Running has become one of my favourite ways to get outside, clear my head and move my body — but having gear that feels good definitely makes it easier to get out the door!
These are the pieces I actually reach for when I run. Some have been favourites for years, others are newer finds, but they’ve all earned a place here because they work for me.
I’ll keep updating this page as the seasons change and I discover new favourites. Hopefully you’ll find something here that makes your next walk or run a little more comfortable too. 💚

All Star Bra
I love the All Star Bra for running because it’s comfortable, stays in place and gives me the support I need. Once I start running, I really don’t want to have to think about or adjust my sports bra — and with this one, I don’t!

Pocket Light n Tight Leggings
These have been a running favourite of mine for years. I love the compression — it supports my muscles (and keeps the jiggles intact 😉), and I find it gives my arthritic knee a little extra support. The pockets are a must too, especially for my phone and dog treats when one of the pups comes along.

Copper Charged T
This is one of my favourites as the weather starts to cool. It’s incredibly lightweight and breathable — honestly, it barely feels like I’m wearing anything. And the thumbholes are always a plus, especially on those chilly fall runs when it’s cool enough to want my hands covered but not quite mitten weather.
On my feet

Not only do these socks feel like a hug for my feet, they’re also great performance socks. They keep my feet comfortable and dry, and I’ve never had an issue with blisters while wearing them

HOKA Gore-Tex Trail Running Shoes
I’ve tried a few different types of running shoes, but once I tried HOKA Gore-Tex trail running shoes, I was sold. They’re comfortable, keep my feet dry and have great grip — which I definitely need. 😏 Whether I’m running on trails or wet roads, I feel much more confident in my footing.
Running Extras

Garmin Watch
I love having my Garmin with me when I run. It keeps track of my distance, pace and time, but one of my favourite features is being able to keep an eye on my heart rate. It helps me stay in Zone 2 on the days when that’s the goal instead of accidentally turning every run into a hard run. 😉

Running Cap
A cap is definitely a must for me, especially when I’m running in the bush. Otherwise I spend the whole time convinced there are bugs in my hair! 😂 It also helps keep the sun out of my eyes and sweat off my face.

Crossbody Bag
I love having a little extra room for the things I might need along the way — car keys, dog treats and little bags for those days when I happen to find mushrooms while I’m running. 🍄 Because apparently even my running gear needs to be prepared for mushroom season. 😂
I’ll keep adding to this page as I discover new favourites and put them to the test. For me, the best running gear is simply the stuff that feels good, works well and makes getting out the door a little easier. 💚
Happy running (or walking)!
