The things I actually wear and use for my walks — from clothing and shoes to the little extras that make getting out the door more comfortable.
Walking has become one of my favourite ways to clear my head, care for my physical and mental health, and simply enjoy being outside. It has also played a big part in rebuilding my health—often just 10 minutes at a time.
Whether I’m heading out for a purposeful fitness walk, wandering through the forest or taking one of the dogs around the neighbourhood, having comfortable, practical gear makes it much easier to get out the door.
These are the pieces I genuinely reach for when I walk. Some have been favourites for years and others are newer finds, but they’ve all earned a place here because they work for me.
I’ll keep updating this page as the seasons change and I discover new favourites. Hopefully you’ll find something that makes your next walk a little more comfortable and enjoyable too. 💚

Bomber Bra
The Bomber Bra is one of my favourites for walking because it gives me the support I need without feeling like too much. The wide band stays comfortably in place without digging or rolling, while the mesh racerback adds ventilation—especially nice on warmer walks.
It’s comfortable enough to wear all day, supportive enough for my purposeful walks and cute enough that I don’t mind it peeking out from under a tank. Best of all, once I put it on, I don’t have to think about it or keep adjusting it along the way!

Confluence Leggings
The fabric is incredibly soft and smooth, with moderate compression that gives me support without feeling restrictive. The high waistband stays comfortably in place, and the streamlined design—with no front seam—makes them especially flattering.
They have plenty of stretch and move beautifully with me, whether I’m heading out for a longer walk, taking the dogs around the neighbourhood or running errands afterward. They don’t have pockets, so I usually pair them with a crossbody bag when I need to carry my phone or dog treats.

Impact Jacket
The Impact Jacket is one of my favourite layers for cool-weather walks. It has a soft brushed interior, a comfortable amount of stretch and zippered pockets to keep my phone and keys secure. I own all three colours—which probably says everything! 😉
On my feet

Not only do these socks feel like a hug for my feet, they’re also great performance socks. They keep my feet comfortable and dry, and I’ve never had an issue with blisters while wearing them

HOKA Gore-Tex Trail Running Shoes
I’ve tried a few different types of running shoes, but once I tried HOKA Gore-Tex trail running shoes, I was sold. They’re comfortable, keep my feet dry and have great grip — which I definitely need. 😏 Whether I’m running on trails or wet roads, I feel much more confident in my footing.
Walking Extras

Garmin Watch
I love having my Garmin with me when I walk. It keeps track of my distance, pace and time.

Beanie
A cozy beanie is a must for chilly fall and winter walks. It keeps my ears warm, adds a little colour to my walking outfit and makes it much easier to get outside when the temperature drops.

Crossbody Bag
I love having a little extra room for the things I might need along the way — car keys, dog treats and little bags for those days when I happen to find mushrooms while I’m running. 🍄 Because apparently even my running gear needs to be prepared for mushroom season. 😂
I’ll keep adding to this page as I discover new favourites and put them to the test. For me, the best running gear is simply the stuff that feels good, works well and makes getting out the door a little easier. 💚
Happy walking!
