Let’s get one thing out of the way first:
You don’t need to overhaul your entire life by Monday morning to make progress.
✨ You just need to start where you are.
Not where someone else is.
Not where you were 10 years ago.
Right here. Right now.
A Few Ground Rules I Follow (and Recommend)

1. No comparing.
You don’t know what chapter someone else is in. You might be on Chapter 2 while she’s on Chapter 12. Stay focused on your journey. There is no timeline, no finish line—just forward movement.
2. No quick fixes.
We didn’t gain weight, lose energy, or feel off track overnight… so we won’t fix it overnight either.
This is about building a lifestyle that supports you for the long haul.
3. Keep it simple.
One of the biggest mistakes I see? Trying to change everything at once.
That kind of “all or nothing” mindset burns us out fast.
🔁 Instead:
- Pick one small habit (drink more water, walk daily, track meals)
- Do it consistently for a week or two
- Then build on it
Sustainable change > temporary perfection.
🚶♀️ Not Sure Where to Start? Try This.

It depends where you’re starting from—and that’s OK.
👉 If you’ve been mostly sedentary:
Set a goal to move daily. Even 10 minutes counts. A quick walk around the block or a light stretch session is a great starting point.
👉 If you’re already moving a bit (like daily walks):
Add in 2–3 sessions of strength training.
Bodyweight exercises work perfectly. You don’t need a gym or fancy equipment to build strength and protect your joints.
🍽️ Let’s Talk About What’s on Your Fork

Nutrition matters. A lot. Especially in midlife.
Our metabolism slows, hormones shift, and our body starts reacting differently to certain foods (or lack of them).
One of the best things I’ve done?
✅ Start tracking what I eat—not to obsess, but to bring awareness.
I used to use LoseIt, but now I use MyFitnessPal since it connects to my Garmin.
It helps me make sure I’m getting enough protein, not skipping meals, and catching patterns like mindless snacking or under-eating during the day.
And yes—awareness leads to change. Without the guilt.
💬 Real Talk: You’re Not Alone

This is why I created a private weight loss support chat It’s not for “before and afters”—it’s for women who are still showing up, even when it’s slow or messy.
We share our wins, ask questions, and keep each other accountable in the most real, supportive way.
If you’re looking for encouragement that doesn’t come with shame or extremes, I’d love to have you in there.
